Pool Maintenance & Repairs

Pool Maintenance

Pumps

  • Pool pumps are sometimes referred to as the heart of your pool system. Pool pump maintenance is a important part of your pool, as it keeps the water fresh and clean. The pool pump pulls in dirty water into the filter and pushes out clean water back into the pool. They create the flow of water that circulates chemicals evenly throughout our pools so that they can effectively sanitize the water.

Filters

  • A pool filter is an essential part of a swimming pool system, removing debris and contaminants from the water to keep it clean and clear. There are two main types: sand, cartridge filters, each with its own pros and cons.
Here’s a breakdown of pool filter types

Sand Filters

  • How they work: Water flows through a bed of sand, trapping dirt and debris.
Pros:

  • Relatively inexpensive, easy to maintain, and can handle a high flow rate.
Cons:

  • Require backwashing to clean the filter media, and the sand needs to be replaced periodically.
Cartridge Filters

  • How they work: Water flows through a pleated cartridge that traps debris.
Pros:

  • No backwashing required, and they are relatively easy to clean and maintain.
Cons:

  • May require more frequent cleaning than sand filters, and the cartridges need to be replaced periodically.
Weekly Pool maintenance

  • Typically includes regular cleaning, water testing and balancing, filter cleaning, equipment inspection, and addressing any issues with the pool or surrounding areas.
